About This Quote

Life is very short, and there’s no time for fussing and fighting my friends. Let me tell you a little story. Once upon a time in a country called Argentina, there were two children who were very, very poor. They had nothing.

They didn’t even have the ability to read. But, they did have a dream. And, they decided they would make it come true.

Both of them worked hard through long hours at their jobs to save up money. When they had enough, the young girl decided she would give her mother a birthday present of a pair of shoes that she really wanted. The boy decided he would give his father a book that he had been wanting for a long time.

Both children worked hard to save up enough money to buy their presents, but the hardest part was getting the money that was needed to buy the presents in the first place. The point is that both children made sacrifices and worked hard for what they wanted. But, while one child was going through all this work to get what she wanted, the other child wasn't doing anything at all. If you know anything about economics you know that by not working hard enough to earn money you will never be able to afford some of the things you want to have in life.
